Board game
A path of squares using the pictures, with a start, a finish and a rules box.
What you need
One board sheet with a path of 20 to 30 picture squares, a start, a finish and a rules box. Add a die and counters.
In the classroom
- Roll, move, and say the word on the square you land on. A wrong or missing word means back one square.
- Add challenge squares: use the word in a sentence.
At home
- Play with two to four players. Younger children can name the picture; older ones read the word.
On your own
- Race the clock along the path, saying every word you pass.
Tips
- Tape two sheets side by side for a longer path.
